| MPVA Annual Open House |
![]() April 15, 2010 Each year, the second week of April is recognized as Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) Awareness Week, and 34 PVA Chapters across the country take time to recognize their years of service. "PVA Awareness Week was created with the hope of sharing the PVA's mission and its countless accomplishments with our nation's citizens. Many Americans are unaware of the PVA's existence or the organization's important contributions to the disability community," said Kevin Elya, MPVA's Chapter President. "PVA Awareness Week is our opportunity to let Americans know we are here and continuing to serve", Elya stated. This year, the MPVA will be celebrating nearly 50 years of service to Michigan during PVA Awareness Week. Please join us to find out more about spinal cord injury or disease, MPVA services and programs, and to show support for our veterans and residents with disabilities. Light food and refreshments will be served courtesy of the MPVA and MPVA Open House Sponsors. If you are interested in becoming an Open House Sponsor, please download this PDF and fill out the sponsorship form. |
